Apparel Company Sues for Trademark Infringement

Juicy Couture, designer of a popular terry cloth sweat suit, has sued a university gossip website called juicycampus.com for trademark infringement.   Juicycampus.com sold promotional t-shirts and hoodies with the words ‘juicycampus’ printed on them.  The website is a gossip site where students can anonymously post about various subjects.

Florida woman awarded $11.3 million for defamatory internet messages

A Florida woman was awarded $11.3 million in a lawsuit against a woman who posted defamatory messages on the Internet.  The defendant, a Louisiana woman, posted comments labeling the plaintiff as a “crook” and a “fraud”
