Wal Mart Being Sued for Trademark Infringement

June 24th, 2008 · No Comments

Adidas is suing Wal Mart for the third time because of a Wal Mart product being sold that is supposedly a trademark infringement of an Adidas product.

Adidas has a shoe that has three stripes down the side of the shoe which is supposedly the trademark of their company’s name. Wal mart has begun to sell a shoe with two stripes that looks very similar to the shoe the Adidas Company has already put out and trademarked.

Although Wal Mart is being sued, this is not the first time it is happening with Adidas. On two other prior occasions, Wal Mart has made a settlement with Adidas claiming that there was just confusion in the similarity of the two products. Wal Mart executives are currently denying any charges that are being brought up in public.

There is no word yet when the trial date is set for but both Trademark Infringement lawyers will be contacting each other with all of the details for the case.
